Dr. R. Emig, born 1965, studied human medicine in Pavia/Italy and in Frankfurt/ Main. 1994 he got his license to practice medicine and gained his doctorate in 1995. He served residency in gynaecology in the university clinics of Essen, Heidelberg and Tuebingen. From March 2002 until April 2004, he was a senior physician and head of department for reproductive medicine of the University Gynaecology Clinic in Tuebingen. Since 1.7.2004, he has been medical director of the Fertility Centre of Mainz.

Dr. S. Mettlin, born 1968, studied human medicine in Goettlingen and Munich. She gained her doctorate 1993 and got her license to practice medicine in 1995. She served her residency in gynaecology in the University Clinic Aachen and in Vinzenz-Pallotti-Hospital in Bensberg. From 2001, she was a senior physician in the Heilig-Geist-Hospital in Cologne. From September 2002, she worked in the department for reproductive medicine in the Hospital Nordwest in Cologne; from 2003 until 2005 she was head of the department.

Dr. med. Martina Nordin
  • Gynaecologist and obstetrician
Dr. Nordin, born 1975, studied human medicine in Greifswald and in a final step in Berlin. She got her license to practice medicine in 2003 and gained her doctorate from Charite  Berlin in 2004. Since 2002, Dr. Nordin has been working in the field of gynaecology first in Berlin, then in Frankfurt am Main. She made her first experiences of fertility consultation in the Nordwest-Hospital. She has worked in the Mainz Fertility Centre since 2007.

  • Graduate sports economist
  • Holistic nutrition advisor

Ms. Koch, born 1967, carries out holistic nutritional advice in the Fertility Centre of Mainz. She studied sports economy in the University of Bayreuth with an additional training in the field of health and fitness. In addition to that, she completed training as “holistic nutrition advisor”.

is a full-time employed, head physician assistant of the Fertility Centre of Mainz. She is in charge of all current physician assistant tasks. She will assist you during your entire treatment. She is your contact person for your payment questions. She is also the quality management representative in our practice.

Ms. Natalie Bihlmaier, full-time employed physician assistant, takes care of all issues in our practice. You hear Ms. Bihlmaier on the phone as well as at the reception, during the treatment or you will see her in the laboratory. She is also the hygiene representative of our practice.

Dr. rer. nat. Zarah Rajabi

Dr. rer. nat. Zarah Rajabi, born 1964, is a graduate biologist and head of reproduction medical laboratory of the Fertility Centre of Mainz.

Ms. Dr. Rajabi graduated from the Technical University in Darmstadt. After graduation, she worked at the medical faculty of University of Freiburg, where she first was research assistant and examined new therapy approaches for treating ovarian carcinoma. Then she changed her area of specialisation to “Reproduction biology of people” and gained her doctorate on the subject of clarifying ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) in IVF-therapies. From 2000 to 2001, Dr. Rajabi was an IVF-biologist in the joint practice for reproduction medicine in Freiburg by Prof. Dr. Geisthoevel. From 2001 to 2007, she was the head of the IVF laboratory in the Nordwest Hospital (Frankfurt/Main). Within the realm of her work and as a quality representative, Dr. Rajabi was also in charge of quality assurance. From 2007 to 2009, she worked as a deputy head of the laboratory for Prof. Siebzehnruebl in the practice for reproductive medicine in Frankfurt/Main. Since January 2009, Ms. Dr. Rajabi has worked in the Fertility Centre of Mainz.
